Hey Firearms Forum,
Being new to this forum, I have gotten permission to make a post about a new speed loader for AR15/M16 magazines. A formal review will be posted once we get samples of our loader to Shooter45 in an October-November timeframe. There will also be a giveaway around then. That being said, below is a video demonstration of our speed loader. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m1rYDpiQIw The Box-to-Mag Loader is the only speedloader that can take ammo straight from packaging and load it into a magazine. Loading 20 rounds can be done in as fast as 10 seconds to 15 seconds. Box-to-Mag works with: ••USGI Aluminum 20/30s ••Pmags ••HK SA80 Steel magazines ••Lancer L5 magazines ••Cammenga Easymags ••CAA Polymer magazines Box-to-Mag can load directly from: •American Eagle - 10rnd single row plastic trays •Corbon - 20rnd cardboard trays •Federal XM193 - 20rnd boxes •Federal Classics - 10rnd single row plastic trays •Hornady - 20rnd black plastic trays •PMC - 20rnd boxes •Remington - 20rnd black plastic trays •Winchester - 20rnd Styrofoam trays •Wolf - 20rnd boxes The loader is set to MSRP at $24.95, but a $7 discount is available for preordering at our site http://www.3pointi.com The production color (not shown in video) will be a translucent black. Please share any comments or questions you may have about the product. Your feedback makes a better product!

Unfortunately, it only works with trays and boxes that stack ammunition into 2 rows. These kinds of boxes usually hold 50 rounds in two separate rows, so it wouldn't work very well if you have more than 2 rows of ammo loaded into it.

Ron, welcome to TFF. Your product will definately speed things along at the range session. I'll be shooting instead of reloading and no more sore fingers.

It just means that I need to save some of those little plastic trays. I may even have to go to a proper range to get some more. (Though .223 is still a new round for me, so I'm still buying factory ammo for now.)Definitely excited for this thing to hit the market.

I do a lot of shooting with my AR15 and AR10....seems like that would be a great product. Have you thought to do something similar for the .308 round AR10?

Fastest speed loader I have seen. Should do well if that slotted plastic piece you push the rounds in with is durable.

We are currently trying to get feedback on what caliber people would like to see the next version of our loader made for. 7.62x39AK and 6.8SPC are popular, and so is .223 mini14. I haven't heard .308 AR10 yet, but it could be a possibility. Everything depends on if our current version gets accepted by the shooting community.

The loader will be made from a Polycarbonate, which is a fairly durable and very impactproof material. Just for comparison, PC is used in Oakleys and Revision glasses, which are capable of deflecting birdshot fired from a 12 gauge at fairly close range. Whatever would happen to the rest of your face in such a scenario, I can't say, but your eyes will be protected, which is a testament to PC's strength.
The prototype product shown in the video uses an inferior stereolithography 3D Print plastic. I've pushed down on it nearly 200 times and it still hasn't broken on me. Last edited by 3pointi.com; 06-28-2011 at 09:09 PM.. |

I haven't actually tested it with one, but I can tell you from looking at a picture of the mag that it probably won't. The AUG mag doesn't have the verticle groove that AR mags have running near the slide catch activator.

thats what i have found trying with AR mag's , but thanks for letting me know
have a chat with smith's ( AG smith and sons) in london , they supply to Qstores ( equal to your PX system) in the UK as the SA80 mag's are compatable with AR mags and the brits will love a speed loader |

brits use clips yes they are a part of the standard ( i forget the name of it but for magazines) that Nato and the US use , sadly when we went to do the same after redesigning the Steyr to suit us the government stopped the mag project so here we are again half way to nowhere as usual .. but thats our government
why do things correctly when you can screw so many doing a half job ... |

STANAG yeah thats it ! we did a great job on the steyr the austeyr project was adopted by the Germans , THEY went Stanag while we stayed with the pile of old pattern mags we bought .. Doh! hey the Kiwi's went STANAG i remember 2007 i think .. i've no real contacts there ( still in ) sorry ..
yeah the clip issue is a bugger , i know some pull em and stack em loose to make room and to avoid clip issues ( the bloody things get bent easy and jam ) but i dunno how many , the Brit's are a "by the book" lot eh Last edited by jack404; 07-03-2011 at 10:10 AM.. |

This is a horrible idea! I dont want to load my 308 any faster than I do because that means that I will shoot faster!! ![]()
