Good grief, what has the John Birch Society every done for gun owners?? Please show me where they have ever lobbied or proposed one pro gun bill. Please show me where they are working for gun owners. They take in piles of money where and how much goes to fight gun control?

Rand Paul pro Gay pro Dope and phoney bills that 85 pro gun politicans voted aganist. By the way only recieved 10 votes. The negative NRA attacks are not unique they have been around for over 130 years. But we keep growing and iritating the left wingers.

I'm not left wing... as I think they will readily agree and endorse... however, I dont like that they seem to pick and choose their battles and orphan states like CA.

What happens in CA eventually infects the rest of the country. If they spent more time and money here, maybe they wouldnt have to spend so much time and money elsewhere?

You want to get me to buy a lifetime NRA membership? make Castle Doctrine a reality in CA! That's worth the price and annual donations in my opinion.

What you want the NRA to come to California and change the most left wing state in the nation??? The voters in that state need to stop electing left wingers. The voters in California are the cause of your problems not the NRA.

I know, I'm not disputing that. But I think that when legal challenges arent made, that could be won, it would stop further encroachment.

Yeah... CA is F*ed up!!!! I see it every day. I like my job, I like the weather *never another AZ summer, kthx!* and I hope this state can start turning the tide back.

In order to that conservatives (and groups) need to not abandon but attack CA.

They have to remind CA and it's residents that the cost of illegal immigration and the social programs is more than the deficit of paying for those programs for LEGAL citizens.

They have to remind CA and it's residents that math matters, you cant pass laws because it feels good, or someone might be hurt...

This state (and our nation) need massive overhaul reform... and it's not going to happen unless we kick out Usama and everyone like him.

my guess on that happening here in CA is like... 10% for Osama bin Barrack I'll call it 50/50 right now

I think it's important to remember the "old" NRA, prior to 1990 - they had an unbroken record of compromising, even actually writing the anti-Second Amendment bills which Congress passed.

By 1990, many NRA members had had enough. Over a two-year period, 25% of NRA members left the organization. In 1991, Warren Cassidy resigned as NRA Executive Vice-President, and Wayne LaPierre took over.

That seemed to be a turning point for the NRA. In 1994 the NRA presented some honest opposition to the AW Ban, and succeeded in including the 10-year "lifespan" for the law.... which is why the AW Ban is no longer the law of the land.

Does this mean the NRA is now totally trustworthy? Hell no! What it means is that NRA members should watch NRA HQ like a bunch of hawks, and dive down for the kill when/if the NRA Board of Directors get wishy-washy with the Second Amendment again.

@Bobitis dont go on my account and I too know all to well about UNIONS , I was using that as a metaphor , not a reality , at any rate your free to believe in God or not , free to enjoy the bill of rights (while they are here) , free to enjoy the constitution , but I would urge you to climb aboard and join the NRA for there is no other organization who will hear your voice , theres nothing wrong with disagreement , hell at least your voicing your opinions in here , why not step up a notch and join the fight , if you think just sitting there disagreeing with OBOMBA is enough your dreaming , obviously this post was in disagreement with you and you voiced your opinion here! Thats all Im saying , thanks for commenting ~

Obama said it all ..."WE won and we're going to do whatever we want to do." On Oreily program, before he was elected, Obama stated, "I feel that the Constitution often keeps us from doing the things we think should be done".
Last time I looked, that's what the Constitution is supposed to do. So he was elected and now his administration ignores the laws. Remember the Black Panthers at the Philadelphia polling places? They ignore the laws, because they can!!!!!
People seem to be stupid, because they don't listen....

There are a dozen Pro Second Amendment Organizations out there,
GOA 300,000 members, NRA has nearly four million members, JPFO not a lot here, Second Amendment Foundation, USCCA (United States Concealed Carry Association), LEAA (Law Enforcement Alliance of America). and RTKBA (Right To Keep And Bear Arms). Join one, or two, but join! Some of these are special interest groups, but welcome members that are not Jews, or LEO's. Give your support where you want to, but be sure that your support is needed.

21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

What were the anti 2nd bills?? Hundreds of NRA trained Inst. thru out this nation every day aid shooting sports. The CCW programs would never get off the ground if it were not for all the NRA Instrs. The GOA and others provide no money or support for these programs. If the NRA did not insure shooting ranges and Inst. most public shooting programs would shut down. The GOA takes in tons of pro gun money. When will they give to actual shooting sports programs?? The Anti NRA fault finders are never on the ground when we fight our battles in courts or march on Washington. The Anti-NRA people are not unique they have been around a verey long time. But we are 4 million strong and growing.

well, this is all part of the problem right?

Yeah, I'm asking people to attack the BASE, the very Al Qaeda of Liberal socialism, a.k.a. Berzerkly CA. If we don't do it now, later will be too late.

Four million sounds like a lot. There's formulas that people use to determine if infringing or encroaching on another persons rights will result in X action. And that's all about the base number of people who do the action and/or sympathize with it. Absolutely, by far and above, NRA says "bring someone shooting" and pass it down to new generations.

the problem is, 4M out of 300M is a very small base to try and hold onto protected rights.

Get it while the getting is good (buy what you need and be ready to use it), and take your sons, daughters, nephews and nieces and cousins shooting. And do it often!

Take them camping, fishing, hunting, etc etc etc...

The NRA is absolutely 100% right about that. Grow the BASE!
