Rep Cummings is being a good little Demoncrat doing his best to "muddy the waters" so as to obscure key OA members' roles in this fiasco. You might remember he apologized to USAG Holder "on behalf of the Committee", only to get jerked up short by an angry Chairman Issa. (Holder had pretty much stonewalled all of Rep. Issa's and others' questions.)

Fortunately, its beginning to appear no matter how hard the Demoncrats shovel, the " tide" is going to overwhelm them. The AFT/DOJ/MSM triumvirate managed to hush up the Carter Country debacle, (TX) for a while, but now guns pushed south from that FFL by BATF demand turned up in an ambush resulting in another dead agent.

Now we're hearing ATF in Tampa, FL was sending guns to known cartel/gangs in Honduras ! I'm also hearing a lot of ATF agents in Tampa are getting "chilly in the arches"., (no doubt figuring the DOJ/ATF/DHS triumvirate will throw them under the bus to save their own hides). >MW

This won't get covered up, just going to keep growing; the dems are terrified & starting to get this real sick feeling about guns going to Mexico. Remember during Watergate, everyday, new allegations would come out, more lies & deceit; look for the same here down the road.

I agree a lot of the MSM marque participants have "drunk the kool-aid" , but I suspect its not nearly so much a love story as it is the MSM content being manipulated at a very high level to support the "Lib-Prog agenda". But the news paradigm has changed.

Fewer and fewer are relying upon the MSM for their news content. With the explosion of portable Wi-Fi devices they can access news feeds from aggregators, blogs, and RSS feeds anywhere, anytime. Far too many from too diverse a sphere for it to be "manipulated".

IOW, all the Demoncrats/Administration have left in the bag is the old shiboleths of spin and pressure. The "spin machine" is at full chat, (with Rep. Cummings currently on the throttle), trying to sell the public the same old whore - gun control - as the "solution". They have little choice but to "stick to the script", now.

The second club remaining in their bag, "pressure" is already being employed - despite warnings from Sen. Grassley and Rep Issa, (and prohibitory fedral law) - down the food chain. The founder of CUATF, (and early whistleblower) has been canned. Its likely others testifying before Rep. Issa's HCGR will also suffer the same career-stunting fate. - at least until this scandal grows bigger spaning more agencies at which time it'll backlash.

Several FFL holders/businesses are also being pressured, (plus how many smaller ones we haven't heard about yet) threatened with prosecution for
straw purchases" by ATF. Most, no doubt, have some record of who in ATF directed them to complete sales the ATF would have no record of but for the vigilence of the business !

All in all, its seems the Obama Administration is "living in interesting times". >MW
