Just saw this on the local news. I love it! When I go, load me into some 45-70 Gov. and off the the range. ![]()

Strangely enough I have done this. it was a while back, maybe 2008 or 2009, Carol called me and said one of the customers had a wierd request. Seems her dad had passed and one of his last wishes were to be cremated and have his ashes loaded into a crate of M193 he snagged when he was in NAM. So I agreed and said it would be an honor to see this final wish be done. I pulled all the bullets, killed the primers with a little spritz of WD40 and filled the case to the shoulder with his ashes and stuffed the bullet back in and crimped it.
I offered my service for free in honor of his service to my country and the lady insisted i keep the powder. so I had about 5 pounds of canister grade WC844 which got tinkered with a little in my .223 reloads. Nice to see a firm offering the same honor to anyone.

And you thought at the bar that night when you came up with this it was a great idea - then you sobered up and told your wife about it...now you can tell her "I TOLD YOU IT WAS A GOOD IDEA!"

My best friend wants to have his ashes loaded into shotgun shells and then shoot a round of skeet with 'em. I told him fine; as long as I can dutch high two (if he misses, it's there).

Just think, you could be loaded into some .45acp rounds and then be kept around for a loved ones self defense. Then, when that day comes (or night) that someone forces their way in, you can take em out with a bang! Then you can say you got the last word in.

Ha. or if the bullet doesnt kill the bad guy, your leftovers can get in there and give him an agonizing infection.

Reminds me some cereal commercials I heard on the radio in my yoooth...
"Quaker Puffed Wheat and Quaker Puffed Rice...Shot from Guns!!!"...(sound effect of a gun shot)..Sponsored the Lone Ranger programs, I believe... Bad Ju-Ju today and terriblely Politically Incorrect to mention breakfast cereal for the kiddos and a firearm...Today a Kid would get arressed and expelled for bring a box of cereal to class.....In those days, it sold a lot of cereal....Where have we gone wrong? ![]()
