The benifits of a fine target rifle.

Some one at our range had the little ball disapear off the top of his truck antenna some years ago. The owner of the truck, lost the bet, and his little ball at 50 yrds. One shot, not much luck involved either....

Best regards, Kirk

I've been meaning to make some steel of my own. We have a scrap yard not too far from the house and I can go over there and pick through every once in a while and find some good stuff. I need to go look for some 1" plate and make some 6-8 inch targets. Been wanting to do that for a couple years and just been too lazy to do it.

Sorry bout your targets, Todd.

Country. i used 1/2" rebar and the closest size electrical conduit coupler i could find to use as a hinge. Then welded the conduit to the plate with a flux core welder and then built the frames with the rebar. I literally have like 10 bucks in them and about 30 minutes of cutting and arranging for the forst one, 10 once i figured it out.

Im not usually one to draw blueprints. Im a fabricator.

Have you thought about installing a trail came to over look the shooting area. That way you would have proof of who is screwing the pooch.

I shoot steel weekly and know what kind of damage can happen. I only shoot lead bullets so no damage to the steel plates. I take a can of white paint with me to coat the targets so impact area can be seen a lot easier.

Todd,

Glad to hear that he came clean and offered to repair the damage. The shame is that he didn't come to you instead of you having to go searching.
