Default winchester 1887

Ok now that Jim Hauff has helped me tremendously on identification of this gun, does anyone half a rough guess on value? Im trying to figure out whether to tell the lady to put this one in auction. serial of 44961 also is it a 1887 or a 1901?

Thanks in Advance

Flayderman's Guide lists value in Very Good condition of $800 for the Model 1887, and $675 for the 1901.
The Model 1901 should be so-marked on the breech and was made in 10 gauge only. The 1887 should have only 1886 patent date, the 1901 both 1886 and 1897 patent dates.

Hello,

It is an 1892 vintage Model 1887. The value of that gun is approximately $900.
