Default Info on Iver Johnson 22cal revolver

My friend recently bought a new revolver and I was looking for information for him. He would like to Know the gun's approximate value and if it can use current manufactured rounds; plus other info. Here is what he has: Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works Fitchburg Mass. 7 shot; 22 caliber; center fire; flat leaf hammer spring; top break Nickel plated 4” rifled barrel has slight rust marks near front of barrel on the outside, none on the inside. There are also slight rust marks on the front over the cylinder; Rest of plating is immaculate. Owls on black grips, lower screw covers missing. Main serial number under left grip panel is E8276. Pat AVG 2596 Pat’s Pending. Number on bottom of trigger guard is 8276. Any determination provided for the possible manufacture era; name of revolver if any; and est. pricing would be greatly appreciated.
