I'm interested in buying a Remington 11-48. I heard a rumor that they had a problem with the buttstocks cracking. I already know that a Remington 1100 butttstock will fit just fine. However, I don't want to have a synthetic buttstock with a walnut forend. So, I was wondering if anyone knew if the forend off of a Browning A-5, or Remington Model 1100 or 1187 would fit or atleast be fitted on the 11-48, without having to spend a week doing so.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
