Default ATI model 1911 Military with Holster

I purchased a new American Tactical Imports Model 1911 45acp Military. I would like to know if I got riped off or not. I paid $439.00 is that a good price? I also found at an Army surplus store a leather Calvery holster and clip pouch for it $32.00. I'm sure the holster and clip pouch was a good buy. What do you think?

I guess any 1911 clone in working condition is worth at least $300 to $400, so you can't get hurt too much. You bought the leather at a good price.

The black CAVALRY holster was standard issue for the ARMY before all the desert warfare stuff and after the "brown boot" army of the 1930s thru '50s. Any idea where the 1911 was made? Seems to be a good price on all the parts.

If you like the pistol and feel like you got a good deal then you did... it could be had for cheaper but not by a ton if you bought it online it seems like it would be cheaper but then there's shipping and a ffl transfer fee

It was made in the Philipines. It is machined 100% to US Military specs.

Deacon Man,
Thanks for the follow-up. I've heard a lot of good things about the Philippino made guns. Good luck with it - let us know how it shoots and works - good information is difficult to come by.

Popgun and H-D.......
On the side of the barrel it is stamped "made in Philipines S.A.M Inc. . I don't know what S.A.M. stands for. I sure do like the gun (kinda heavy) but it is a sure shot. I took it to our local indoor range and put 58 rounds thru it. After the third mag. I was hiting the bulls eye at 7 yards. I moved the target back to 15 yards and held a 4 inch pattern. Bare in mind I am not a marksman of any kind, just a 66 year old novice who likes to shoot. I have a colection of pistols rangeing from 22 cal. to 45 long colt.
