Default Prayer request for my nephew wounded in...

My wife's sister called her today to tell us that she just found out that her son, my nephew, was wounded in Afganistan by an IED/roadside bomb. What we know so far is, according to the US Army Chaplin that visited, it is not life threatening but he has a broken ankle and shrapnel wounds which the Chaplin did not elaberate on as to how severe. So please offer some prayers that Justin, my nephew, heals quick and I know there were most likely more at least injured so please pray for them too.

Absolutely will hit the knees tonight for our wounded warrior. As I have said I never had the honor of serving but I recently joined the Forward Guard group they formed as a recurring monthly donor to Wounded Warriors Project. What an honor.

I don't want to jack the thread but it is a great way to help our heroes. You can go to the Wounded Warrior Project web page to join as a recurring donor and they just charge your credit card once a month.

God bless Justin and he will be No#! on the prayer list tonight.

Lord, we come to you this morning upholding Justin and his companions that were hit in Afghanistan.
We do not know the extent of the injuries, Father, but you are all knowing and aware of each one.
We ask that you would touch these brave young people with your healing power.
We ask that they would all recover quickly from these injuries.
We ask that none would suffer setbacks or complications from this.
We ask that you would be with the families and friends of each one, assuring them that You are in control of all things.

We ask for a special blessing for each of these, and for all of the fine young people that risk their lives in service to their country -

And we ask these things in the name of Jesus the Christ, the Lion of Judah.

Amen -

Thank you all. I will update as soon as we hear any more. He followed my youngest into teh military and then his brother followed him. I reckon in a way they al followed me being my youngest joined up to keep up the tradition of every generation serving in one branch or another. I was worried when Justin joined and then his older brother being they both were to be in Afganistan at the same time. Justin's brother was delayed due to surgery which he had yesterday, the day after Justin was wounded.

When I know more I will update and thank you all.

Agreed. Thank you for that Terry.
Prayers from here that the wings of pestilence that got him, and his comrades here, wont fly again. He has friends here, and allies on the front lines. We will both fight for young men like them! Now the wings of the Lord will carry him to a quick recovery, both physically, and mentally. Godspeed to Justin, and company, our defenders of freedom.
