Default Looking for a 22lr DA Revolver

Hello guys and gals, My friend is looking for a DA Revolver in 22lr, with at least a 6in barrel and 9 shot capacity. Just looking for recommendations, I have looked into Taurus I been getting kinda mix reviews on them. Just would like some of your guys experience and views on what would be a good 22lr DA Revolver. Thanks and God Bless

Here are two suggestions. The one on the top is a NEF-R-92 6-inch.It's very accurate. The middle gun is a H&R Model-929 and the 2-1/2 snubbie is a NEF-R-92 also. All three can be found on auction sites.Sometimes it will take several months to get a nice cherry one. They function flawlessly and are cheap to shoot and fun guns.Good luck with your choice.

High Standard made the DOUBLE NINE also sold by Sears. Decent shooters, but not tack drivers. Why nine shot? That eliminates some fine pistols. My next door neighbor bought a new Tarus about three months ago. I'm sure he would sell it cheap. Has a trigger pull like a Nagant and a fine gunsmith gave it up, said Tarus wouldn't sell parts. He called it a lawyer trigger.

There's always the S&W 617. Ten shot, I believe.

You might want to take a look at the new Ruger 10.

I have an older Taurus, and love it, but it doesn't have the 6" barrel.

Another really good 9-shot revolver that needs mentioning is the High Standard Sentinnel R-107.What a great shooting gun.I owned one but sold it trading up for another gun.It had cosmetic wearing to the blue finish.I wish I would have kept it now.

S&W 617 10 shot is the best without question.
Taurus has a new 9 shot convertible 22 lr / 22 magnum. I have only seen pictures of the gun and a review in American Rifleman. The accuracy is not as good as the Smith from the figures in the review. I have a 617 4" that shoots .75 groups rested from 25 yards.
