I would buy one of those 3-400 dollar Chinese double barrel coach guns in 12 gauge. The rest of the 100K I would spend on rifles and pistols!!

Winchester 21, 26" barrel 12G of the more "basic" variety, if you can call ANY 21 'basic.' And have the other $90+K left for rifles and handguns, and a whole bunch more Marlin 90's. Dunno why, but I love me some of those old Marlin stack barrel doubles.

So I get $100,000 to spend on a single gun? I wouldn't even consider it.
But if I had to pick, I think I would pick something from Boss & Co. Of course, that $100,000 would limit me to the used guns. I mean, their site brags that even King George VI thought they were too expensive for him. Quote:

About 15 years ago I spent a whole afternoon at Holland and Holland on Bond Street in London. They knew as soon as I walked in the door that I couldn't afford their stapler much less any of their guns.... None the less one of their folks spent the better part of 3 hours with me, upstairs gunroom, downstairs shop, opened every cabinet handed me more guns than I can remember and didn't even mention the drool.
Finally sent me packing with a hard bound catalog and a neck scarf free of charge. They could obviously spot a reverent pilgrim when they saw one. That is worth part of the purchase price right there, not to mention the history that just oozes in. Mike J |

I would get a Beretta 471 Silver hawk. Then spend the rest on reloading equipment and components.
If you held a OU shotgun HOMMIE stylz would that count as a SxS? Last edited by cpttango30; 11-02-2011 at 05:30 AM.. |

338 Lapua Mag and have a custom built platform for it built. The remaining cash would be for reloading equipment and a Wilson 1911 custom build.

Many years ago I hunted birds with a Japanese man on Kyushu. He had a Gordon setter and a Purdy double that he had acquired in Singapore. Being a nice guy, I offered to trade him my Win. model 12 for his Purdy even up. He laughted so hard, he almost wet himself. Beautiful gun, light, pointed like your finger. Had a pheasant and a grouse gold inlays. We had some great hunts. Most memorable was shooting woodcock over the rice paddies.

Id think about a high end Krieghoff SXS, probably in something like 28 gauge. Either that or a custom fit AYA in the same gauge. Merkel is another good one.
