Mine shoots match target and CCI subsonic reliably.. Both only 1040 fps.

Yup! You got it Beth.
The spear tip have a little "pin" on the end, and basically all they are good for is pushing patches thru a bore. You can't effectively pull with a spear tip is all. Loop, and Spear Jags Last edited by Chinook; 11-11-2011 at 04:48 PM.. |

Get some CCI Mini Mags. If it won't work with those it won't work with anything.

Buy that sucker Beth, it's worth the experience. And if it never runs again you've got more than $50 worth of parts there. And just because someone knows guns doesn't necessarily mean they know how to work on them, so it could be something simple.
I tink u kon du it! |

Tell you what, buy it for the $50 and if you can't make it work I will buy it from you for the $50 and arrange for shipping from Naugahyde CT to good old Texas.

Fuzebox steered you right. It is CW Grips better known here as Woodnut. He is an outlet for SBGO products.

I was checking to see if there were pictures of the initial tear down or the big clean up with the carb or break cleaner. I don't want to see a picture of the finished product till I have seen a pile of parts

A lot of experienced shooters rarely clean .22's. I let mine go until accuracy starts to fall off or I start getting malfunctions. Once you start having problems a good thorough cleaning is usually the first thing done.

Fellerette - I'm hangin' onto this thread like my Ex used to hang onto her daily soap operas. I'd bet that a good cleaning will restore that .22. I've seen folks bring .22 semi-autos to our Gun Club range so gunked-up that the bolt would hardly move, and then they'd wonder why 'ole reliable' wasn't working.
Some shooters will clean their .22s every other year whether they need to or not. I clean my .22s after every outing. Maybe it's just my military training, but I can't put a firearm away dirty. Besides, if you like to shoot and enjoy firearms, why not spend the time caring for them? They will stay in better shape and last much longer. But that's just my humble opinion - Jim. |
