I got a great gift of oftig , a Tap o Cap
and thats allowed me to make my own percussion caps previously i was all flinter as cap's where "bought" and here thats showing ID permit's etc i hate it all , love i make all i need for flinters now i do the same with percussion caps from no cap and ball guns a few months ago i've now got the following a NAA mini .22 BP revolver 1 Uberti 1858 New Army Target .44 and the matching carbine ... ( the carbines on back order still!!!) ![]() a pair of Ruger old army stainless 1 kentucky rifle kit .50 cal ( Dixies ) 1 Pennsylvania Rifle .36 cal (pedersoli) and i just ordered a inline in .50 ..................................................................... its like a cave man who's figured out how to make fire easy ![]() i cant help myself thankfully Christmas is coming to help curb my gun acquisitions

nice Jack. I did the same back when i was casting boolits when I discovered the freechex system. Its a cutter and punch system that turns aluminum cans or copper flashing into gaschecks. 500 gaschecks will cost you drinking 1 beer, unless its a Fosters. You could punch out 1000 gaschecks from one of those big ass cans.

Enjoy it Jack. They've quit making them.
The official reason (paraphrased) is: They were designed to work with American roll caps, which are powerful. The cheap Chinese roll caps, which is all you can find nowadays, are too weak to work. So we have discontinued manufacture, as we don't want our customers to buy our stuff, and when it doesn't work, think that we make crap, instead of the Chinese.

I hope you can get some more Tap-O-Caps (Pop-O-Caps?) for the other Aussies. |
