The XLR chassis arrived and I'm not dissappointed. It is all I expected and more, it is flawless: Only thing left is getting my action back and I can start putting all the parts together.

I need that Chassis AD.. I picked up a steal at the Shilen Swap Meet this morning, got there early and walked away with 3 select match barrels for 385 bucks, one of which is a full bull 28" 6.5-284 8 twist ready for a savage action. Im all tingly with anticipation.

Finally Progress to report!!! Got the action back from SSS (the smith had injured his fingers so it took longer than normal). I went ahead and installed the Timney trigger and tactical bolt handle. The fluted bolt gives it some bling. Waiting for my smith to call so he can set the pull to three pounds. Then it won't be long till it's all together.

Great catch at on those Shilen barrels Josh. Kind of figured youd be there.

he did you good. He faced the action ring, reciever lugs and the boltface. all you need to do now is lap the bolt if he didnt already and put that beast together!

Well here it is! All done, five months and one day later. Only thing left is bases, rings and optics. which I'll be asking you guys for help on in a seperate thread.

I got the Timney set at 3.25 lbs and then put it together. The people I worked with were all great people giving great customer service. Have not been disappointed with any of the products and services used in the creation of my dream rifle.

So here she is.

Now all thats left for you to do is send it to me to be thoroughly tested.

Nice build Airdale. I have a savage shilen select match 6.5-284 waiting for my XLR chassis build. Soon as I can justify the cost..
