Default Messed Up

I have a Smith and Wesson 1905 M&P 4th change! The Recessed screw that holds the cylinder stop spring in place i have stripped and now it just spins in place and wont start anymore,Without it in place the weapon is useless. Can this be fixed by tapping and oversizing the screw??

See your other post on this same subject.

Depending on how badly the threads are damaged to the frame, the threads can be chased and the screw replaced. If the threads in the frame are too badly damaged we can tap to a larger size and make a new screw. Will be an invisible repair when assembled.
