According to the latest defense spending bill before Congress, a United States citizen living on the mainland or abroad may be locked up indefinately as a terrorist suspect, and without being given a trial, if that individual has any two of the following items (this is only a partial list)

1. Any amount of small arms ammunition that has been weather sealed

2. Seven or more MRE's

3. Bright colored stains on their clothes

4. Membership or participation in an online forum where guns or bombs are a topic of conversation

5. One or more missing fingers

6. Ownership of a military type assault rifle

The list is much longer, but these are the six that I picked up from Fox News a little while ago. This is not something we should take lightly. Our freedoms are at risk and the fact is that everybody on this forum probably has one of the other items on that list. If that bill is signed, you may be in prison this time next month.....and you will never have a trial.

We were all told that your 'President' was a Constitutional lawyer. If he is, it is just so he will now what it says before he does just the opposite. Yes, our own government considers us terrorists while protecting people like Obama who is in the White House illegally, the real terrorists at Gitmo, and all those others who are spewing crap about this country. It's pretty bad when a country is so far gone that the sitting gov't calls people who still stick to the founding documents terrorists.

A lot of stuff that is in the books now was said to sound like fear mongering propaganda. That is why people don't pay attention to it and that is how it gets through. As for me, I will consider it to be a real threat until I see for myself that it is not.

I don't know any details about this at all, but I am just not willing to write it off because I think it is too preposterous. So many things these days I thought were preposterous just a few years ago yet we have to live with them now.

I can only assume that the bright stains on clothes would be caused by explosive chemicals. That is only a guess, but that would make sense.

As best as I can determine, these "characteristics" of a terrorist were listed by Sen. Rand Paul. He was speaking in opposition to S.1867, but I don't know if these "characteristics" actually exist in writing anywhere.... I hope he was just exaggerating.

By the way, S.1867 was not defeated in the Senate. It passed 93-7.

I would also point out that we can't blame the Kenyan for this one. This originated in the Senate, specifically, from Sen. Levin and the "great Conservative hero of 2008", Sen. John McCain.
