Army Tech. Manual 30cal Rifle 1961 - The Firearms Forum

I have a Department of the Army Technical Manual for Caliber .30 U.S. Rifles M1. M1C (Sniper's), and M1D (Sniper's). I havn't found any online
Any info on it would be appreciated.

I think E-Bs looking for value of his manual. Since they are available to view and print online I'd guess not much.

i've a original , i think it was $12 from a gent who is a book dealer in the US , and i've scans and posting manuals all over ..

Jack, FWIW, the book you show is not an original US Army manual, it is a commercial publication, though it probably contains all the original info and some more if the cover is correct. Note that the US Army never used the term "Garand" in official publications; the rifle was always called the "M1" or "United States Rifle, Caliber .30, M1" and GIs called it just the "M1". While many items were designated as "M1" (including tanks, carbines, SMG's, jackets, helmets, etc.), the term standing alone always meant the rifle. If one soldier asked another to "hand me my M1", he didn't mean a tank, he meant his rifle. The M1 Carbine was always called "the carbine" unless an armorer wanted to distinguish an M1 carbine from an M2 carbine.

yeah Civvy reprints , otherwise they'll be numbers and letter not titles

but some of the civvy one bring 2-4 books into one

soma have the amourers info added to the training ones

but i do also try to get the mil issue ones to compare , the GPMG M60 civvy ones are poor compared to the issue .. but the repair section is way better than issue , go figure .. get em all i say and make sure the next gen can get em if needed ..
