hello everybody and merry christmas and happy holidays too all,god bless.now for my question.i just purchased a 50 cal t.c. hawken for twenty bucks,not a type o twenty bucks,im sure you can guess whaat kind of shape its in.i know it was a kit gun to start and id like to meet the five year old that tried to put it together and then the idiot who had no knowledge of gun care or pride of ownership that didnt take care of it.i own a caliper so i can find out if the barrel is 15/16ths or one inch,is their any other way to tell. old semperfi

Put a tape measure or ruler across the muzzle. I may be wrong but I think all the TC 50's are 15/16

Yes, T/C Hawkens--both .45 and .50 are 15/16.

buffalo chip,i just got off ebay and they are giving both 50 cal barrels at 15/16 and one inch.not doubting you but where did you get your info

According to Green Mountain's site the TC Hawken uses a 15/16 and the Renegade uses a 1 inch.

3/4 " .45 Seneca & Cherokee, 15/16" .50 Hawken, 1" .50 Renegade

The .50 & .45 Hawkens were 15/16" The .54 was 1" as were all the Renegades. All you need is a barrel, Green Mountain makes drop ins, some brasso, (I'm sure you know all about that stuff), some paint and varnish remover, and some true oil.
