Default Forehand Arms Co 38 S&W?

Sorry if this has been asked recently, I dont find much from recent years by searching.

I have a Foehand Arms CO 38 S&W sn 1105xx and was wondering if anyone has come up with a SN vs Mfg date. This revolver has the F&W grips.

Thanks
Paul K

I don't know of any serial number records, but the markings should place it between 1890 and 1898. The F&W grips probably push it to the early 1890's.

The Vorisek reference book on the Forehand Arms Company has some serial number information that might be of use. I would need to know the specific model, hammer or hammerless, small or large frame, and barrel length.

W1Spurgeon
The revolver referenced is a Forehand Arms Co Worcester Mass USA, Pat's Dec 1, 86 & Jan 16, 87 Sn 110361, Cylinder and forward frame have the same Sn.
This revolver is a small frame top brake Nickle plated with F&W grips. Chambered in 38 S&W barrel length is 3 1/8" exposed hammer and auto eject.

Thank you
Paul

PBK 380. I have one of those old Forehand Arms but mine is 32 caliber. I was told by a friend that it was made in the early to mid 1890's. I shot 6 rounds through mine with old black powder ammo when I first got it from my grandfather. I'm surprised the ammo even went off but it did. If your going to use yours, make sure you use black powder in it. They were made before smokeless powder came around. Good luck with it. Shooter 91
