Default JLA's Project

Just to fill everyone in. Some time ago I gave Josh a set of pre drilled Corian 1911 grip blanks and a few pointers on how to build them. I have been waiting on a post with some pictures, to show us how he is coming along, reckon I will see them in 2012 LOL.

Josh, I was just wondering how you are coming along with the project. I'm sure the members would like to be filled in also.

Have a happy new year, and I'm pulling for the Cowboys.

Cant believe i didnt catch that one worm..

I did get started on them today. Had to test out a new bandsaw blade.

Im getting me a new belt/barrel sander here in the next week or so and I really wanna use it right away so ill wait to whittle them down til i get it. But I did get em cut out today with the bandsaw. Sure made short work of the excess.

You are right Josh, not as brittle as soap stone but it does work really well, and it will be durable when finished.
Looks like you already have the hang of it.
That's a good looking saw too.
Keep us posted.

Yeah. i watched saints and 9ers play last nite. Looked a little lopsided in the 1st, 9ers scored 3 TDs, then saints came back before the half, then the tradeoffs TD for TD thru the end of the 4th where the 9ers narrowly win the division. Poor saints.. A stolen victory in my mind. neither defense could stop either offense. That was a 4 quarter bout of russian roulette and the saints finally got the live cylinder.
