Hey Josh
This is what the grips should look like when finished out of the Corian. You need to have the logo put on them and be ready for next season.

By the way if you really would like the logo on them. After they are finished send them to me and I will do it for you.

Just for those who might get this confused with the real thing.
The grip here is completely hand drawn on my computer.

I got an update on the corian grip blanks Carl sent me.

They've been sitting for a couple months now just rough cut with the bandsaw and waiting to be finished. But I needed another set of full size 1911 grips like a hole in the head soo I wasnt in too big a hurry to get em done. Plus I still have yet to go pick up my belt/drum sander anyway.

Well a couple weeks ago I bought a NIB Llama 111a (the mini 1911 in .380). I decided It needed some new grips so I drilled out the screw holes in the frame, tapped them and converted them to 1911 grip screw bushings and made some templates to fit the frame and traced the pattern out on the blanks Carl sent me. Perfect! Using the top hole Carl drilled as a reference point I traced out the templates and cut them out with the saw. I also made me a piloted counter bore this morning. I am fixing to leave the house and go get my sander. But heres an as of now pic..

Go Bears. They start good but fall apart mid season.

Its a Llama 111-A, circa 1978. It is a mini version of the 1911 geared toward the .380 ACP the same way a govt 1911 is geared toward the .45 ACP.

Its a really sweet shootn gun but it bites the hell out of my hand every shot. Perfect for the wifes tiny hand though.

Me either Carl, although I am admittedly a tad nervous about it. To me thats like handing my green machine to JMB himself for his approval.
