Feel the same way. However if you looked in my safe you'd think I was partial to the Vaquero also. I'm down to 4

I can see why you all like your favorites, they are all beauties. But like many of you I can't just pick one. They all had something about them that caused me to acquire them, even that ugly Glock that keeps showing up in my photos. At the gun shows I seem to be drawn to the abused and abandoned orphans that are the table. Some times I wind up with a dud but that doesn't stop me, ha. Well this Smith & Wesson Model 25-5 is one such case. There is was all dirty and smudged and no one was paying it any attention but is was NICKLE and a .45 Colt and the price was right. So it came home with me. I cleaned it up and it looked great. Took it to the range and it shot great. But closer examination showed that with enough pressure the hammer could be pushed off full cock making for a dangerous condition. I called S&W and asked if they would consider looking at it and making repairs. They said sure send it in. Four weeks later I got it back. Repair costs $146.00 including shipping. Repair parts were new hammer, trigger, sear and hand, yikes. Results, I have a beautiful revolver in excellent condition with less invested than those other show boats are selling for on the other tables. It is definitely one of my favorites.
Dale that is a beautiful NICKLE Smith you have but mine is bigger ![]()

I favor my Smith and Wesson 2206 because I can afford to shoot it a lot......I am very fond of all my other pistols and enjoy handling and looking at them. (only firing them occasionally)

A good .45 acp 1911, built on original design and action.
Why:? For all the right reasons, plus, I simply cannot find a .46. yellerdawg |

I will have to say my Smith & Wesson 2ND Gen. 645. built like a tank eats everything, never any FTF, FTE. But my S&W Model 41 is the funnest to fire.

This is a really tough question, I really like my Smith 62-2 .357 (it was my dads carry gun way back when), I also favor my Smith 5906 9mm (also dads carry gun), just aquired a Smith Airweight 38 that i really like, hmmm but I think my favorite would be my Springfield XD40 Subcompact. Great feel to it, very accurate in my hands, eats my reloads well, and throws a nice amount of lead down range.

My Dan Wesson .357. Given to me many, many years ago by somone very special to me . She even named it "Alice". Only gun I have that's named. Plus, I love the .357 caliber. Hands down favorite, even if I don't shoot it as much as some others.

I would too if they weren't so damn expensive in California!
![]() Almost to the very minute the DoD went to the 9mm, prices for 1911s skyrocketed. Dealers are cashing in on Veteran Nostalga.
