I'm working on pics of this one. Colt Bohler Steel SxS 12ga hammergun. Internet pics look good. I'm thinking the wood is a re-do, but well done. 30" tubes (m/f). The tubes look good and claimed no dents or dings. Asking $2695. Alwasy wanted a hammergun and this one looks mighty fine

    Minn-eeee-sota, ya, sure, you bet!
Those Colt 1878 Hammer guns are a bit pricey.

Here's what the Blue Book says.

    98% - $3,250
    95% - $2,950
    90% - $2,675
    80% - $2,200

If the wood's been refinished, that would decrease the value a bit.

Note that all Model 1878s were made for Black Powder Only.

I bought an 1878 Colt SXS with 30" damascus barrels in january 06, and I have taken it out and shot it with Black powder load. It's great and it's in excellent shape. The barrels are clean and shiney, wood's in excellent shape and the gunsmith that checked it out-said it was never fired or was taken care extremely well. Sent for the Colt Letter and when I got it, it stated that it was 1 of 146 made with the term "THE CLUB GUN".
