I am researching the value of a gun for a friend. Her dad was a huge collector. What I am checking on is a 1937 Colt Model 1908 Hammerless 380. this is not the vest gun but the bigger one. It is either stainless/nickel plated and has never been fired. There is some very slight wear to the slide where it looks like it was dropped and nicked the back left of the slide. Other than that it is perfect in every way. Any idea if this is nickel or stainless on this model? Any idea of the value? Looks like this.

but it is the 380 which I believe makes it the Model 1908. Any information would be great. I can try and get picture up if that helps. Thank you.

They didn't make stainless guns until the mid 60s, so it can't be that. Either nickel or chrome.

You're right. The 1903 is a 32. The 380 is a 1908. But they are both "Model M Pocket Hammerless".
