No idea of the value but it looks like a parts gun. I have one I bought from my smith with an Essex frame, Colt barrel and grips, slide unknown. Shoots great. My essex frame is from Hardwick Vt. though. I have a pic of it in my album. I paid $800.00 for it.

No, one of my customers wants to sell it and I couldnt tell him what it was worth. I may want it, but not that interested. Also he said he has a bunch of parts to go with it like another slide and springs and mags. Im pretty sure he said another slide.

The slide may be worth more than the rest. Without looking at the condition of the rest maybe 250.00-300 tops.

400-450 as a shooter, the slide is worth 200 to a 1911 collector.

The first 1911 I bought, about 10 years ago, was similar. Essex frame with national Match slide, adjustable sights and trigger. Gave $225, shoots wonderful. My understanding is that Essex was the first to offer aftermarket frames for wore out 1911's. I don't think they ever built any guns, just unfinished frames. It really comes down to the quality of the job done to mate all the parts up. In any case I wouldn't give more than 4-500 unless it was a full race with loads of aftermarket parts.
