    Hello all,
Need a little help. Did the S&W 1917 civilian model .45 have a S&W emblem in the checkered wood grips??? I can't find a picture anywhere. Thanks in advance and God bless. cordell

Some later commercial 1917's had the checkered grip with the S&W emblem.

I have been looking for a pair for my 1937 -=made gun, but they are big money and hard to find at that.
