22 ammo

    Do you think we'll ever see these prices again?
    This was when HECKS was going out of business around the early 80's.
    They 1st took them down to $1.00 a box, we held out and the went down to .64 a box. And what was surprising, no one was stocking up, sept us...who knew!

    Adjusted for inflation, that 64 cents is more like at least $2.50 - so in that sense, yes.

    I bought Winchester Wildcats today at Sports Authority
    for $1.59 a box. A long way from 64 cents, but not bad for today.

    In the early to mid 90s the Wildcats were .89 a box at the Casey's convenience store in the little town I was in and were 1.29 at the hardware store. They both had the Feds too, but they were bout half misfires.
