.22 lr revolver velocities?

    can anyone give me info on what velocities a 4" revolver can acieve with 40gr solids std velocity?

    Check out federalpremium.com
    Your numbers are going to run roughly 100psi and 1000fps with a short rifle, and
    for a hand gun maybe more like 80 psi and 800 fps

    plenty of variables here, but to give you a ball park range, standard 40gr LRN .22LR out of a 4" barrel is going to result in velocities between 815-930fps. Hope this helps.
