I'm wondering if anyone here knows where I might some inexpensive .303? I am the very proud new owner of a Lee-Enfield no.1 mk.III, but I cant seem to find ammo for less than about a dollar a round. If that is just the going rate, I can accept that. I just thought I would ask...

Munch wish you where here, i'd be able to GIVE you a box ( metal 800 rounds) of 1919 ball ammo , i got a couple crates full..

mill surp is your best best even if it do need you to clean the rifles after each session

    good luck

I just recently picked up a No.4 Mk1* repro sniper. I made sure that the deal included a couple of boxes of modern ammo (Boxer primed) and a set of reloading dies........;)

i may have some news on some aussy ones hitting the USA in the new year ( maybe ) about 200 , hoping to hear a firn yea or ney in the next few weeks , all are shooters all have slazenger wood replacements but 1944 manufacture ( so new but original )

price in the US i dunno , but i expect it to be about the $400 mark and ammo should be available to purchasers ... at about $40/100

Be sure to check the bore very carefully. So many used corrosive ammo and were not properly cleaned. I was lucky to find one a few years ago that had been stored in an arsenal since WWII and never issued. It took me two days to get all the cosmoline out of it. A really good shooter and very easy to load for. Load it within reason and it is very pleasant to shoot........Don in SC

Aim surplus has it for $13.95 a box for PRVI. My 1943 ROF no4 mk1 slugs at .315 so I can't really attest to it's accuracy. But montana bullet works will make you some linotype or hard cast lead bullets for not too much. They are the only thing I can get to shoot reasonably accurately through mine.
