If its any thing like British foxes a light fast one! I would try a 125 grain varmint tip! Here in UK shoot out to 250 yards at night with lamp so want a flat shooting round.
    Cheers

Are you hunting hides or just controlling pests?

If you're trying to harvest the hides, a plain ole FMJ at mild velocities is about the best for not destroying the pelt.

If you're just out to control the population, then the Nosler Ballistic Tip is a good one to try. 125gr or 150gr and push it as fast as loads will allow. It's gonna tear up the hide pretty good though.

Whichever you can get the best accuracy from. Any bullet will do since you only need to transfer a small amount of the energy created by a .308 to kill an animal that weighs around 50 lbs or less. The determining factor will be whether or not you can put the bullet where it needs to go.

Good luck. Let us know which you choose.
