    Having serial #489938 makes it made in 1923 (486000 - 501999).

Also it is an "Army Special Model" and/or "Officer Model" not an "Official Police".

If the barrel is marked "Official Police", the revolver has been re-barreled.

Its value will depend on what it actually is, what part of the country you are in, and how badly someone wants it. If it has not been rebarreled, etc. A gun shop is likely to offer $100 to $250. A gun shop selling it might ask $800 or more.

I suggest that you go to several of the Internet gun auctions see what is being asked and actually bid for similar items.

Thank you very much. It does say Officer Model, that was my mistake.

Wow, its older than I thought, I was assuming 1930s.
