My momma just died and I found among her possessions a Brand new in the box with a 'velvet' bag a .380 Lady Colt that looks to have never been fired.
I think that the serial number is LC0425, I know nothing about guns and from what I have been able to look up it appears to be a collector item.
I guess that I can only upload 4 files but I have 28 pictures of the gun. The gold is perfect along the barrel, the box is the original box but the Styrofoam may not be. Everything is there including a letter from Colt!
I do not know how to sell this thing! I am in Washington State, HELP!
Mr Black,
There's not too many of these to be found, they are based on the Colt Mustang PocketLite variant, I believe the total run of these was limited to 1000, but some checking with Colt should give some more exact info.
Tough to say what someone would be willing to pay, but for insurance purposes, I'd want $1500 on it. I'd think that with all the documents and condition, that you'd be able to get 1000-1200 for it if you were patient enough. $800-900 if you want to sell it quickly.
Numbers are just ball-park, so I'll do some more indepth checking and see what else I can turn up. I'm sure there will be a few others that come along with some inputs also.
What general location in Wa? I'll be up there in Aug to visit family and attend my class reunion.
Keep the gun, box, letter, manual, etc together. It all increases the value. Gun values vary depending on market demand and condition. Here are some for you to consider:
Thank you for your replies. I live near Tacoma and I am not in a hurry to sell it but I could use $ more than a gun!
