I had a friend give me some .45 brass that he had picked up some where. I have been reloading it, but the primers don't want to fit the primer pocket very well. Have to use a little more force on some than on others. They are marked RA86, but don't know the order that should be read in. Anyone know just what this stuff is? It's good brass, and reloads well except for the primers not wanting to fit in all the primer pockets, but they do go when enough force is applied.

It's military spec from Remington Arms 1986, swage the pocket and you'll have an easier go of it.

Thanks, that's just what I thought, and needed to know.

that stuff ought to last forever miles, I have a shoebox full of old military headstamp TZZ85 that I have cycled prolly 50 times or more and it still loads well;)
