162 hdy Amax, Power Pro 2000MR, 42 gr MAX for 2700ish fps.

I use the hell out of 2000MR in .308 too under 168 and 175 gr pills, both with SUB MOA results.

I have found Benchmark to be the best for accuracy with 139gn SST's. Meters well and also performs decent on the low end of charge weights for reduced power loads I plan on starting my 12yo with. I like W760 for 160gn+ bullets.

I'm going to try some 200MR and RSM Hunter ; both powders I haven't load tested.

Welcome to TFF and how bout some pics and details on the action. ;) How long hsve you been working on your project?

Thanks for welcome. Wanted a weapon/caliber that had, ease of reloading, inherent accuracy & easy on shoulder(bad back). Started w/mauser action that Douglas wouldn't rebarrel. Got a pawn shop Savage 110 in 7mmRemMag. Converted bolt from Magnum to standard bolt face. Got Shilen bull barrel w/1-10twist in 7mm08. Stripped action and rebarreled. Cleaned&polished trigger. Replaced plastic stock w/tactical stock on clearance from Richard's Microfit Gunstocks. Rifle came w/Bushnell 3-9 scope but will be replacing w/Tasco Targetmaster 24x. Have bedded the stock and put in pillar. Working on finishing the stock now. So far so good!

Wow! That is one sweet project. Looks like you hit all the bases. Can't find fault with anything you did, or suggestions from other members. Congratulations of a fine project!

10s a little slow for the 7-08. OP is gonna be restricted to 140s and below.

I went back and checked my paper work from Shilen after y'alls post and I was wrong. I did get the barrel in 1-9 twist because i wanted to shoot heavier bullets. Also a Timney trigger will be in the budget next month. Anybody got any input on the quality of Privi Partizan components. I broke in my barrel with there loaded ammo. Nice stuff! Their prices are good and they have two sizes for 7mm(140gr and 175gr)

Go 175. the 9 should get it up to RPM at 7-08 velocity and your LR trajectory will be much flatter.
