    Hello

I have a Super Modelo A Star Pistol.
Currently I have to order Spanish 9mm largo bulllits on line to get them.

A couple of questions please ,the 9x23 ammo can it be shot in my Star Model A largo Pistol?

Does the ammo I get online with the 1977 date of manufacture last forever or how long.

    Thanks in advance

    Fred

I believe the case dimensions are similar, but DO NOT fire 9x23 Winchester in a 9mm Largo pistol!
The 9x23Win is loaded to a much higher pressure than the old 9mm Largo (also known as 9mm Bergmann-Bayard) and will destroy an old Star (and possibly injure yourself) if you load it with 9x23Win.

1977 manufacture 9mm Largo ammo is fairly new...I've used surplus ammo dating back to the 50s. Depending on how it was stored it should be just fine.

If you want to do some reloading, I'm pretty sure Starline still makes 9mm Largo brass. Reloading dies are still available too, but if not, 9x23Winchester dies can be used.
