Currently I carry a S&W 36 in a Mika pocket holster. It hides well in my shorts pocket. I plan to replace it next year w/ a S&W 340PD (Scandium .357 mag w/ .38+P ammo).

For winter wear, am hoping to get a Rohrbaugh.

I think you will find that the .44, and the .45 are just about the most accurate hand gun rounds out there. It's just one of those things that come together well.

Some motherF-er stole my wifes 686 when they stole her truck. It was a snubby too.

A good quality revolver for concealed carry is the Ruger LCR..light weight..easy to shoot, and due to the polymer frame and rubber grips, you can shoot it all day long at the range and not come home sore. Ask my wife, she loves it, but disdains shooting my S&W model 36 or the 60. You would love this revolver and if you can, try one at your local range!!

If hiking in mountain lion/bear country, which really means out my front door, I carry a S&W 329 in a Krammer horsehide pancake holster. Very light and comfortable. First 3 chambers are 210 gr. Silver Tips which are quite mild compared to the next 310 gr hard cast Garretts. In town it is all Silver Tips.

I normally carry a P238 but it is in the shop right now. I am carrying my Ruger LCR in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster. The whole rig weighs right at 18 ounces.

I assume we're talking "town carry" here. For that purpose I have several that
    I carry including a Taurus Titanium 2" in 45 Colt, a Taurus Titanium 2.5" in 41
Mag., and a Rossi M720C 3" in 44 Special. All of these shoot and carry well,
but lately I have mostly been carrying a Ruger LCR 38 Spec. with Crimson Trace
laser. Not as powerful as the others, but it's more compact and I love its 13
ounce weight and its wonderful DA pull. Also, most "social problems" occur at
night, and that's where the laser really pays off.
