We have finished our military mission in Iraq. I believe our time table in Afghanistan is to pull out in late 2012 but I am probably wrong.

Nephew been there once as AF PJ, going back again this summer. They only are there around 4 months at a shot but are flying constant. He didn't have much regard for the Afghans which is to be expected, just a little above animals. He said in the cities, they are westernized and want freedom & democracy. Out in the sticks, the opposite and shoot at Amer choppers whenever they fly over. Nobody knows how to read or basic modern living standards; lower than dirt. He figures soon as we leave, it'll all go back to how it has always been. He thinks we shouldn't have a large presence there, just use Special Forces, ect; but as usual politics.

I'll bet berry will announce right after the first of the year an accelerated withdrawal from afghanistan, all troops out before the election, so he can campaign as "the great peace maker"

Zhurh, we had em stuffed until the pull out at Tora bora and the new ROE's, then the withdrawl to go to Iraq

the ones who had shown they wanted us there are mostly now dead or reversed their actions big time .. the talibs killed about 800,000 civilians in the ghan and pakistan while we went to iraq..mostly those who accepted us in the begining ...

its been a great PR tool for them .. "they left you before , they'll leave you again " and those words rang true as soon as obozo got elected , but then there was a build up by us , but still we count down... its a farce

to borrow a line outta a movie ( one of the alien ones) pull out and we'll nuke em all from orbit , its the only way to be sure ..
