That's too easy - it's an out of focus derringer

Ah, negative on that, Lead Lobber. :( Although you're correct on the out-of-focus part.

Fib, it's a North American Arms .22 caliber so-called "derringer." They've been around quite a while now. Well made little gun intended for really deep concealment. They're made in .22 Short, .22 Long Rifle, and .22 Magnum. I can't tell from the picture what cartridge this one is chambered for, though judging from the size compared to your hand, it is likely the .22 Short version. Here's more on them"

:) Do they make a Speedloader for that piece? :D
Just saw one today @ the gun store. Could place in real deep concealment, where the sun won't shine:eek: I thought it was a NAA .22 revolver, berfore I saw Pistol's response...honest!

No speedloaders all you got to do is carry 10 different extra loaded cylinders for it :D

I wonder if that would be a viable "anti dog" gun in 22 magnum? Opinions anyone??

It would be better than nothing. I would want something bigger. I have seen a charging attacking dog hit with a head shot from a 9mm at about 20 feet and they still made it long enough to bite the guy

Re: Fib ain't fibbin. Its, Name That Gun! Game # 2

You are most correct, Pistolenschutze. It is the five shot and carries the shorts. I wouldn't shoot anymore as it has gotten rather fragile. I'll probably frame it. A friend/gunsmith worked it over for me a few years back and recomended that it be retired. I have a belt buckle mount for it which is pretty cool. Anyway, thanks for the imput as i will enjoy learning more about it and its history.

Like the speed loader idea too!

And now its time to play, NAME THAT GUN!
