Just purchased a Norinco 1911. While it's not a Wilson, it should make a good mattress gun:D

Keep it clean and oiled up and you should be OK. Norinco is good starter 1911.
Also bear in mind, many 1911's have a break in period so be patient through the first 500 rounds or so. Congrats, glad to have you here.:)

Welcome from the UK Div. How does .45acp perform against a mattress?
  6. Well, perhaps that would depend on whether he has a cute little Browning Hi Power to cuddle with him, Tranter. :D Never know, you might end up with a .40 Colt-Browning!:D;):p

Welcome to TFF, Will! Glad to have you aboard. And yes, we are a bit nuts around here, especially the UK Division. ;):D

I can see that:eek:Thanks for the warm welcome guys;) I never had a 1911 jam on me because maintenance. Had one jam on me because I didn't leave the mag fully loaded for awhile to break in the spring.
