Sorta looks like they re-fasioned the VE9 and VE40 Sigmas.
I noticed the first featuere on the list is:

"SDT™ Self Defense Trigger for Optimal, Consistent Pull First Round to Last (8 lbs. +/-)"

So perhaps they changed the trigger pull from the Sigma? Other differences are the addition of the Picatinny-Style Rail and the textured finger locator. Other than that it looks just like the Sigma.

I wounder if I can trade mine in?

It has the SD trigger, much better than the Sigma's. Thinner grip frame- I have the SD and it's really nice, just not as 'nice' as the M&P.

I wonder if the parts are interchangable with the Sigma, since it appears to have the same frame as the Sigma. (Thinking trigger springs/assembly here.)
