Not a restoration. This blade was given to me by a member of another forum who wanted to see if I could save it. A WW-2 Cattaraugus 225Q. Handle was gone, all parts severely rusted & pitted. It's no looker now, but a useable sturdy knife ready for a few more decades of service. I also made the sheath.
What a great job! You obviously have a gift. Me??? Not so much. I have my grandfather's Camillus USN Mark 2 that needed saving. He left it in his tool shop for 35 years and unfortunately the sheath's metal was a little damaged. Did my best and at least stopped any further damage. The funny part, at least now, is in my eagerness the first thing I did was put a razor edge. Then I decided to clean things up. Oops! I had cuts and nicks all over my hands.
Beautiful job nice handle and sheath...TWO thumbs up!
