Aside from the forthcoming law suit after law suit to "redefine" handgun ownership "limits", the next attack to will very likely be on the control (read restriction) of ammunition which, of course also includes reloading..... See below..................

Yep. In fact the seed is already planted.

And it will be nation wide and not require any law by Congress:

The ATF can rule all calibers above .22 as "armor piercing" and they become illegal.

The regulation allowing this is already in place. All it takes is a change in interpretation of what is armor piercing.

Rifle rounds perhaps. Pistol rounds are NOT armor piercing.

They can be. I have heard several people on here - I believe it was on the post about the FN Five-Seven - say that the .38 Super round is armor piercing.

The idea of banning ammunition will also go to the SCOTUS as banning ammo is banning "arms." Ammunition is implied.

I disagree. This is not within the ATF's power. Got a link to the regulation you claim will do it?

You might want to look that up. In the USA, the only ammo defined as armor piercing is pistol ammo that is designed to pierce armor.

    http://www.atf.gov/publications/download/p/atf-p-5300-4.pdf search for "armor".

The US Code refers to other types of armor peircing ammo, but only as to their sale by the military.
