I shoot at them all the time on the rifle range, but the county gets them for next to nothing from the local bowling alley, and there's never a shortage of them....

Had a guy on the Taurus board make a good suggestion for targets. Apparently he likes to use ketchup and mustard packets. I've thought about trying that in the near future. Maybe stapling the tops and bottoms of the packets to a large sheet of plywood with an earthen embankment behind it.
:D Should be a lot of fun and easy to spot when you scored a hit.

In our small country gun club here in Texas, bowling pin competition is a big thing. We have handgun competitions several times a year and the big draw is the bowling pin competition. I shot it many years with my double action revolvers and was able to keep up with the semi-autos....for the most part. Then I shot my first competition with my Wilson CQB and the revolvers were put away. I love the challenge of not only knocking them down but also making the shot clean enough to push them off the table. I just need to find some of the Pin Grabber bullets to reload.

I love shooting pins... just tell me where its happening and I'll be there.

Accuracy Sports (out of business) in San Antonio used to have competitions regularly.

Now I am in Texarkana (an Indian word meaning cultural vacuum) and don't know where to find them.

  14. Hmmmm, for some strange reason I always get into trouble when I shoot bowling pins . . . besides all those annoying back balls tend to disturb my aim. :D ;) :p
