I have seen them but not any balistics on them.......are they more/less effective than a hollow point. they look like they might go through organic material before flowering. I'm not real good at these things so I ask.

Remington loads a 185, and a 230 gr bullet,Golden Saber,I think, which work REAL good, IMHO. Shot a pig, recently, with the 230. He was misbehaving, rattling the trap, acting like he owned the farm(I still pay the taxes), so I popped him right on top of his intellect. Lights out, in 5 sec or less!
Recovered a bullet of about ..600in dia, weighing 210gr, from the bottom of his neck---12" or so penetration, perfect mushroom, minimal loss of weight.
Would this do for a defensive round, on thinner game, walking on two feet?

    I think so. Terry

I use Speer Gold Dot 9mm Hollowpoints in my Kel Tec P11s, I think they are sufficient to do the job for concealed carry and home/personal protection.
