    Well, I done it!!

For years, my ham hands have felt best with an arched "A2" mainspring housing on my 1911s. Finally, got the nads to upgrade my Premiere II with a Smith & Alexander housing... Feels SO good now. Check it out!!

the S&A mainspring housing and mag well funnel combination are the greastest thing since bottled beer.

Thanks!! I'm thinking of getting another one for my little Para Carry.
Probly takes the Officer size. Will have to check on that.

Now I have a question. Trying to learn more about guns and am amazed at how much I don't know. What is an "arched mainspring housing"?

when you hold a 1911 its the part that rests in the palm of your hand below the grip safety. it houses the mainspring and they come in 2 styles. arched and flat...

I've got the arched also. Pushes the hand up for a higher grip.

    Hey Rigger!!

That's what I'm talkin' bout... so glad you posted a pic of that Officer model so I could gander at how the stainless arched would look. My little Para Carry would look WAY similar except for them rattler grips.

    Nice touch!!

Those rattler grips are sweet. I bet that pistol would look wicked nice with a set of scroll pewter grips...
