Attached are pics of my Arisaka. I think it's a type 44. There is no bayonet and the strap was put on by my grandfather. The chrysanthemum has an x across it, but I don't have any capture papers for it unfortunately. The serial number is 19xxxx. I was looking for any info available. Appreciate the help.

It's not a Type 44, but rather a Type 38 Carbine. (The markings on the breech translate to "Type 38".) These are not very common and, hopefully, someone will have a value for it.

Value depends, is it matching, what arsenal, cleaning rod? The bolt has been turned down. That will hurt the value alot. Need more information.
