I was down in Mexico about 20 years ago and ran across an Italian stiletto I was able to haggle down pretty cheaply. It has Milano stamped above the hinge and is very tight. Kicks like a mule when it opens and locks up very well. I see a lot of simular ones these days but thay have Milano lazered across the blade and appear to be cheaply made. Does anybody know about these? I'm not so sure that it is a knock off. The shop had some other 1st class, brand named knives but this was the only automatic they had.

There are several different versions of the Milanos. How do you close the knife?

The top finger guard rotates 1/4 turn to release the blade to fold.

Crap, does that mean the one I bought in Venice, Italy 34yrs ago with the fingerguard latch is Korean? The only markings on it are 35M above INOX inside a rectangle. The markings are stamped.
    Thanks

No. The swivel bolster is an Italian concept.

I like Dalton autos, but the auto-conversion of the Buck 110 gets my vote for being rugged and durable.

I have a Pro Tech Godfather in green and black. LOVE IT. razor sharp and opens a little too easy.
