I can't find any reference to a heavy barrel ever made for a Marlin 25.
Numrich doesn't have any barrels of any kind for it in stock.
Even if you found a heavy barrel for it you would have to rebed the barrel.
A new barrel costs about what the rifle is worth

I'm not in the shop today, and dont have my catalogs immediately available, but the short answer is yes it can be done.

However, the cost will be more than purchasing a new heavy-barrel bolt action .22 from Marlin.

Sure it can. How big is a function of the center to center distance between the mag tube and the barrel.
The real question, though, is: How much will you spend on a free dog?
An offset bore is do-able, for a heavy barrel, and , a heavy price; accuracy is anybody's guess. But why, when a Rossi will outshoot it?

The Marlin Model 25 does not have a magazine tube.

The least expensive way to do what you are wanting is to find a pulloff factory heavy barrel from one of the other Marlin bolt-action .22's and have it fitted. You would be looking at $100 give or take, total, depending on the cost of the barrel.

Thanks for the help guys.I was wondering if a barrell for a 880 sq would fit.
    100 bucks wouldnt be bad.

Stash247 I know it normally wouldnt be worth it but my dad has had this gun for as long as i can remember .I surprised him for christmas a couple years ago when I refinished a single shot htat was his dads. I havent ever seen the old man so happy. So i figured id try to do a little better on this one. This gun is really plain. he was checking out a heavy barrel target rifle one of his friends has and liked it a lot.So i figure this beats the heck out of buying him blue jeans and cds again for christmas.
