I have a Beretta Model 85 being delivered to me in about one week.
It is NIB, manufactured in 1992. It is blue with wood grip panels. I do not know the SN yet. At 14 years old and being unfired does it have any value greater than being a shooter? What would its value be? I paid $400 and think I got a decent deal. What do you think?

Your Beretta is known as the "Cheetah," and since yours has wood grips it is the model 85W. It is not particularly collectible, as it was manufactured until the year 2000. Your pistol NIB books at $473, so you got a reasonably good deal on it. Shoot it and enjoy it, it won't make that much difference in value.

If you shoot it regurally it will only decrease the value at around 15%. But what's the point of a gun if you don't shoot it, unless it's a C&R.
